Connect Works

Microsoft Connect works. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but it really does work. You will get the attention of MS developers and they will respond. It’s not always fast, but it gets there.

Of course, I was trying to create samples for the book, which came out almost two weeks ago, so this is a bit late for me personally… HA! But it really does work.

Kind of ironic timing for anyone reading your post today around lunch time EST.. Saw this at the top of the connect page:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Microsoft Connect will be offline this Saturday, March 28th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am Pacific Time for a version upgrade.

My experience with microsoft connect has not been as positive as yours.

The connect items that I follow never seem to get attention.

Sorry, but I couldn’t help mention issue 341872 which was the second highest voted issue (after “please release 2005 sp3”). A suggestion that was “closed by design”

In terms of feeling the love from MS, well, it’s not there. That does make it frustrating. I didn’t get a single response on this from November and then suddenly it’s fixed.

But from what I’ve seen, they really do read this stuff and take action on it. Unfortunately that action is very seldom to post back to Connect to let us know what’s going on.
