Renewed as an MVP

I received my renewal notice and, after checking the message header, it is April 1st, I got very happy. I’d try to wax poetic about this, but I just read Paul Randal’s (blog | twitter) comments on the fact that he and Kimberly Tripp (blog) were just renewed. As in lots of things, he did a better job than I can in describing exactly what this means.

    Congrats. Your book SQL Server 2008 Query Performance Tuning Distilled has been a great help around here of late. The award it well deserved and I have enjoyed learning from you, and all the other MVPs for that matter.

    Congrats Grant…. Did you have any doubt about renewal? Well, I did not and I think lots of others share my sentiments…!!!

    And yes, I’m not at all blase about it. This is only my second time. Maybe after three or four of them I’ll stop worrying, but I doubt it.
